Another fantastic week here at Headstart. The bakers have been creating their very own pizzas topped with their favourite toppings. The children have begun making secret crafts, although you will have to be patient as you mummies have another two weeks to wait. We have been experimenting with a range of messy bits, from playdough, flour to water and bubbles. The children have really enjoyed getting dirty and wet.

Thank you all for dressing up and fundraising for world book day. The dress up day raised £18.00 and so far the fundraising is at £376.00. We greatly appreciate all the support in raising money for the setting. The best dressed winners were announced yesterday and the top fundraiser will be announced next week, when all funds are in and counted.

Today most of the children have come wearing red in support of comic relief. It was a little girl’s idea to dress red and support a great cause. We didn’t ask for donations this time but thank you to all those that made a contribution.

As we like to prepare, we are asking for cardboard egg cartons and empty kitchen rolls. Please could you bear us in mind before throwing them out…. These will be used for an activity we have planned coming up.

Parents evening was held last night and Headstart had a great turn out from parents. Thank you all for your feedback and we hope to put these ideas into practice and work together for your child’s learning and development.

Session checklists have been sent out for September 2019-September 2020 places. Thanks to those that have been in touch to confirm and alter their child’s sessions. Spaces are filling up quickly with both current and new children, so if you still have to confirm or alter your sessions please get in touch with Kirsty or Monika to change or add to these sessions as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

We are asking for children to bring in photographs of their families so we can create our family board. Can we label these pictures so we can talk about them with your children.
